Painting, collaging, book making, oh my! Preserve your treasured memories from a recent adventure or tell someone you love them this holiday season with some tiny gouache paintings tucked inside a hand-folded zig zag book. Participants of this workshop taught by Heather Sundquist Hall will have fun playing while learning various gouache techniques to create unique, tiny paintings. Everyone will also have the chance to make their own small zig zag book to house and protect their mini masterpieces. Gouache painting, drawing and collage techniques will be introduced and practiced. Plan ahead by choosing a theme you feel excited about. Bring some photos or notes on your phone about said trip or person you'd like to celebrate in painted form! This class takes place on Sunday, December 10th from 5 - 7:30pm.
About the instructor: Heather Sundquist Hall, the artist behind Golden Hour Prints, is one of our beloved LSW artists! She draws inspiration from narratives, nostalgia, and quiet moments. It serves as her way of holding onto memories like souvenirs from road trips of yesteryear.
Soft, velvet colors and ambient atmosphere are major elements in every piece. Heather captures that certain time of day; like the subtle glowing light right before sunset, during the “Golden Hour.”
Heather is a formally trained fine artist and moonlights as a freelance illustrator. She holds an AAS in General Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, as well as a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia.
In her spare time, Heather draws inspiration from exploring the outdoors and forgotten places with her husband, Michael, and their dogs, Chickie and Waylon.

Please leave kids and pets at home. Our current classes are for people 16+.
Classes take place at our shop: 105 E San Antonio St. You may park for free in front of/near the shop or on the Square. Please arrive on time or a few minutes early! If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to catch you up to speed.
Workshop attendees receive 10% off if they want to shop before or after the class!
