From the artist:
"I have always been a tinkerer and most certainly always will be. My love for jewelry started at a young age; I blame my mother who worked at a jewelry shop for my obsession. I made my first jewelry sales in the 3rd grade. At age 20, I got my first apprenticeship with a craftsperson who taught me so much about working with my hands and paying attention to detail. I have since worked for 3 metalsmith/jewelry makers and in 3 incredible bead shops. I continued to learn at the amazing ACC Jewelry Department and I was even a lab assistant for some time. I have studied endlessly on my own, so I'm still very much self-taught as well.
I love so many aspects of jewelry making, it's hard to pick a favorite technique and I am inspired by everything. I use many various techniques including fabrication, wax carving and lost wax casting and lots of other fun applications. I even make a lot of my own wire and sheet metal, truly a labor of love. I absolutely love repair and restoration work! I really enjoy sharing and learning new and old knowledge. I believe that jewelry pieces are mementos of our lives, jewelry is important. These pieces remind us of a place, a time, or a person of personal significance. I consider it an honor to be part of the 20,000 year old metalsmithing legacy.”
